Chef Wu in Roswell has become one of our favorite places around Atlanta when we are craving bold Sichuan flavors. The restaurant has a spacious, modern dining room with attractive dΓ©cor and plenty of room for families or larger groups. We ordered a good spread: Sichuan fish with peppercorn, mapo tofu, Singapore noodles, sour cabbage fish soup, and wood ear mushrooms. The food here suits our preference for dishes that are genuinely spicy without losing their individual flavors. The Sichuan fish was one of the highlights, served in a deep red chili-oil broth with vegetables, dried chilies, and Sichuan peppercorn. It had the characteristic combination of heat and gentle numbing spice that makes this style of cooking so enjoyable. The sour cabbage fish soup remains our favorite dish. The combination of tender fish, pickled cabbage, and a tangy, savory broth gives it a very different character from the chili-oil fish and makes it especially satisfying with rice. The mapo tofu was rich and nicely seasoned, while the wood ear mushrooms added a pleasant contrasting texture, this is our other favorite starter. The most consistent experience ever. I’ve dined in, picked up and gotten it delivered. Very tasty. You have to get the Spicy & Numbing Pot (I usually do chicken or shrimp). The sizzling fish in hot oil is also delicious.

We love us some peking duck so we gave this place a try. We had the onion pancake, peking duck, dumplings and hot and Sour Soup. All 4 dishes were delicious. Every dish had great flavor, you can taste the freshness. The dumplings were amazing. Some of the best I've had. The service was great. This is some really good Chinese food.

Got the Dongpo Pig Knuckleβ€”don’t knock it until you’ve tried it! MASSIVE portion size, incredibly cooked pork, and I loved the mushrooms it came with. Highly recommend Chef Wu for either dine-in or takeout. Looking forward to returning soon!

Everything that I have eaten at Chef Wu has been incredible. Normally when I think of Chinese food, I assume less flavor and heat in the dishes. But here, my taste buds were blown away. I especially enjoy the dishes with numbing Szechuan pepper corns, hot peppers, fresh cilantro and other veggies like lotus root. I enjoy bringing my friends here. Chef Wu always delivers a memorable culinary experience. Great service and a relaxed and open atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
